In the last 100 years, humans have destroyed over 50% of the world's coastal ecosystems, including mangroves, seagrasses, and corals, in pursuit of economic growth. This degradation drives poverty and resource collapse among coastal communities and cities, while threatening the long-term viability of ocean health and our civilization. Instead of treating economy and nature as unrelated, we address them together: sustainable economies that nurture, rather than degrade nature are the key to bringing back ocean ecosystems. We work with governments, indigenous communities, and corporations, to design and build sustainable blue economies and restore ocean ecosystems.
